“Cooking isn’t just about food for us. It’s about sharing a piece of home with everyone who walks through our doors.”
Don Cha Peruvian Food was born from a simple longing — the kind that only the flavors of home can satisfy. When Pedro and Mary first opened their doors in Fort Walton Beach in 2017, their dream was to share the soul of Peru with their new community, one plate at a time. What started as a small kitchen with big heart quickly became a local favorite, known for its bold flavors, generous portions, and the kind of hospitality that makes you feel like family.
Rooted in tradition, guided by memory, and driven by heart. We believe Peruvian cuisine is a celebration of culture, history, and family. A fusion of Indigenous, Spanish, African, and Asian influences that come together in every dish. From the bold spices of ají amarillo to the freshness of lime-cured ceviche, we honor the ingredients and techniques that have been passed down through generations. We don’t cut corners. We don’t compromise. We cook the way it’s meant to be. With soul, with pride, and with the joy of sharing something real.
From our original home in Fort Walton Beach to our newest spot in Pensacola, Don Cha brings the bold, soulful flavors of Peru to two welcoming communities. Wherever you visit us, you’ll feel right at home.
Born and raised in Lima, Peru, Chef Pedro brings more than just recipes to the kitchen — he brings a lifetime of flavor, tradition, and heart. With every dish, he shares the stories of his homeland, blending time-honored techniques with a deep love for hospitality. Pedro’s passion for cooking is rooted in family, fueled by culture, and inspired by the joy of seeing people connect over a great meal.
